Das Orgelbauunternehmen erwarb sich zu Lebzeiten des Firmengründers einen geachteten Ruf in der Erhaltung und Restaurierung von Barockorgeln, speziell denen im Alten Land. Nach 1945 entwickelte sich das Geschäftsfeld mit unzähligen Neubauten explosionsartig.
