This dial bears a consider-able resemblance ^ the one at Midmar (Fig. 1639); and, omitting allabove the square block with the cup-sinkings, it is not unlike the Gadderdial. Midmar, Aberdeenshire (see Vol. ii. p. 372).—This dial stands (Fig.1639) in front of the grand old castle of Midmar. It is of quaint design,and contains nine dials.
