Troops at Rathaus

image: civilian women and children climb and descend a double stone staircase at the front of a German town hall, while another group read a notice pasted on the front of it. There is a British soldier lounging in the doorway and another leaning forward onto the rail at the bottom of the right hand branch of the stairway. Inside the door a woman can be seen talking to another soldier and through

the window another group of uniformed figures is visible.
