Country lady displying her animal skin rugs, Yarraman Creek, ca. 1930. Caption with photograph : One woman's work. Mrs Geoff Smith of Yarraman Creek, snared the wallabies whose skins went to the making of these mats and rug, and she tanned the skins and made them up during the recent winter. The skins in the rug and one mat are all from scrub wallabies. Those in the lighter mat are from forest wallabies. Mrs Smith is an Englishwoman but considers herself an 'old-chum' now as she has been in Australia for 10 years. (Description supplied with photograph.).
