DämonAls Dämon wird in verschiedenen Mythologien, Religionen und mystischen Lehren zunächst ein „Geist“ oder eine Schicksalsmacht als „warnende oder mahnende Stimme “ und „Verhängnis“ verstanden. Unter christlichem Einfluss wandelte sich die Bedeutung dann bis zu einem Handlanger des „Teufels“, und somit wird heute als Dämon entgegen dem neutralen bis eher positiven Sinn des Ursprungswortes für die gemeinten Geisteserscheinungen oder Geisteswesen häufig ein solches Wesen bezeichnet, das nach allgemeiner Vorstellung Menschen erschreckt, bedroht oder ihnen Schaden zufügt, also als böses Geistwesen erscheint. Die systematische Erfassung der Dämonen bezeichnet man in der christlichen Tradition als Dämonologie. .. weiterlesen
