St. Martin has a small container port, as you would expect on a small island with about 75,000 people. There are a few villas overlooking Great Bay and the Philipsburg area at the top of the hill.

The roll-on roll-off ("ro-ro") ship Midas is loading or unloading, with its stern facing the dock. It is operated by Godby Shipping, based in Åland, a group of Swedish speaking islands in Finland.
