TausūgDie Tausūg, auch Suluk, sind eine ethnische Gruppe auf den Philippinen und in Malaysia. Der Name Tausūg leitet sich von den beiden Worten tau und sūg ab, was mit „Menschen der Strömung“ zu übersetzen ist und sich auf ihre Heimat, den Sulu-Archipel bezieht. Die beiden Bezeichnungen Sūg und Suluk meinen hierbei dasselbe, wobei das Letztere eine phonetische Entwicklung genommen hat, bei der der Laut /l/ entfiel und die beiden kurzen /u/ zu einem langen /uː/ zusammengefasst wurden. .. weiterlesen
