M621 from Middleton Road bridge. Looking east towards Junction 7. This section of the M621 was originally part of the M1, but was renamed when the new section of the M1 was built to connect the M1 to the A1. Looking at the 1940's map on Vision of Britain, it looks like this section of road was built on a former railway line.
