Two models pose for the camera on a staircase at the fashion house of designer Norman Hartnell. At the top of the stairs, the model wears a black velvet dinner gown studded in blue and gold. In the foreground, the model wears a dinner suit with the jacket made from a red rose printed fabric, designed by Hartnell and a skirt of black crepe. A large chandelier is clearly visible in the background.
