Lieutenant Kenneth Ford Haslam Ford (8181846373)
11 Battalion, Cheshire Regiment
Lieutenant Ford was the son of the Venerable G A Ford, former Archdeacon and Senior Chaplain to HM Indian Ecclesiastical Establishment.
He was born in Norwich and educated at Marlborough College before enlisting with the Royal Field Artillery on outbreak of the First World War.
By November 1914, Lt Ford was commanding a machine gun section on the Western Front.
He was fatally wounded by a sniper whilst conducting a reconnaissance to find a German emplacement at Ploegsteert on 30 November 1915 and died, aged 20, the following day. Lt Ford is buried at Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension.
