Riau

Riau ist eine indonesische Provinz im Osten der Insel Sumatra. Am Jahresende 2023 betrug die (fortgeschriebene) Bevölkerung nahezu 7 Millionen Einwohner, davon waren 51,05 % männlich (3.502.832) und 48,95 % weiblich (3.358.405). Diese Werte verschaffen Riau nach Sumatra Selatan einen zweiten Platz in der Rangliste der zehn Provinzen auf der Insel Sumatra. Flächenmäßig muss sich die Provinz mit dem 4.
