Irish green ensign RMG L0093
There is evidence that this flag was used as an unofficial ensign by Irish merchant vessels before 1919. The ensign is made of wool bunting with a cotton hoist. The ends are machine sewn and the edges are the selvedges of the fabric. A rope is attached to hoist the flag. The flag has a green field with a Union Flag in the canton and a gold Irish harp in the fly. The design is entirely printed.
The original artefact or artwork has been assessed as public domain by age, and faithful reproductions of the two dimensional work are also public domain. No permission is required for reuse for any purpose.
