Das De-Dion-Bouton-Motordreirad war von 1895 bis zur Jahrhundertwende das erfolgreichste Motorfahrzeug in Europa. Mit etwa 15.000 verkauften Exemplaren alleine im Zeitraum von 1897 bis 1901 erzielte es den ersten Durchbruch bei der Verbreitung von Motorfahrzeugen und half mit, um 1900 das französische Unternehmen De Dion-Bouton zum größten Motorfahrzeughersteller der Welt zu machen.
