Two profiles of Italian World War II fighter biplane Fiat C.R.42 Falco. Top: A Fiat C.R.42CN (Caccia Notturna) night fighter; note the long exhaust flame dampeners. Bottom: A Fiat C.R.42 of the 85th Squadron, 18th Group, 3rd Wing Regia Aeronautica; transferred to the 56th Wing in autumn 1940 to take part in the operations of the Corpo Aereo Italiano in the skies of England during the Battle of Britain.
