Convention of Tauragė (Tauroggen) – Memorial
Translation of the bilingual (Lithuanian, Russian) inscription : "Here, in the former Poscherun mill, on December 30, 1812, the Royal Prussian Lieutenant General H. Yorck and the Russian Major General H. Diebitsch signed the Tauroggen Convention for Joint Action against the Armies of the French Emperor Napoleon."
Below the bridge flows Ežeruona river File:Ežeruona river – Tauragė.jpg, towards the right ; on its right bank stood the watermill File:Požerūnų malūnas – Poscheruner Mühle.jpg, since long pulled down.
The newest (2012) monument File:Convention of Tauroggen - Overall view.JPG stands at the top of the road, on its left (not visible on this photo).
The new pedestrian bridge was built in 2014.
