As soon as I had my room at the hotel I went for a walk by myself to see what I could.

It has a statue of Vladimir Lenin in the foreground is situated on Independence Square, once called Lenin's Square.

This construction was begun in 1930 and completed in 1934. Government House in Minsk is recognized as an important example of the architecture of the period.
