Jacopo Amigoni war ein italienischer Maler, Freskant, Zeichner und Kupferstecher des Spätbarock und des Rokoko. Er wird zur venezianischen Schule der Malerei gerechnet und gilt nach und zusammen mit Sebastiano Ricci und Giovanni Antonio Pellegrini als einer der ersten Rokokomaler. Da er im Laufe seines künstlerischen Schaffens in halb Europa wirkte, spielte Amigoni eine bedeutende Rolle bei der internationalen Verbreitung des neuen Stils.
