Discovery images of Jupiter's irregular moon S/2018 J 4 (the gray fuzzy dot moving rightward at center) from the 4.0-m Victor M. Blanco Telescope's Dark Energy Camera (DECam) at Cerro Tololo Observatory. This animation consists of four images taken on 11 May 2018 03:37-03:48 UTC, all 180-second exposures in the VR filter. North is up and East is left. Bright white pixels and streaks that sporadically flicker between images are artifacts caused by cosmic rays and camera defects.
