NGC 3048 ist ein Galaxienpaar im Sternbild Löwe an der Ekliptik. Die Spiralgalaxie PGC 28595 ist schätzungsweise 442 Millionen Lichtjahre von der Milchstraße entfernt, PGC 1509261 hingegen etwa 389 Millionen Lichtjahre.

Das Objekt wurde am 27. April 1864 vom deutschen Astronomen Albert Marth entdeckt.[3]
