Miranda May Kerr (* 20. April 1983 in Sydney, New South Wales) ist ein australisches Model. Bekannt wurde sie als Model für die Modemarke Victoria’s Secret.
Biografie
Miranda Kerr ist das älteste Kind von Therese und John Kerr und hat einen Bruder namens Matthew. Sie wuchs in Gunnedah, einer Kleinstadt in New South Wales, auf. Nachdem sie mit 13 Jahren einen Modelwettbewerb gewonnen hatte, fing sie 1997 an zu modeln. Kerr ging in Brisbane auf die katholische Mädchen-High-School All Hallows.
Im Jahr 2004 startete Kerr ihre Karriere mit einer Werbekampagne des Fotografen Erick Seban-Meyer für Ober Jeans Paris. In den Modemagazinen Vogue und Elle wurden Bilder von ihr gezeigt. Im Jahr 2006 debütierte sie unter anderen mit Jessica Stam bei der Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Nachdem Gisele Bündchens Vertrag von Victoria’s Secret nicht verlängert worden war, erhielt Kerr deren Platz als neuer „Engel“. Sie ist bei der Modelagentur IMG unter Vertrag. Von 2008 bis 2013 war sie außerdem Markenbotschafterin der Kaufhauskette David Jones. Kerr lief auf den Shows von Chanel, Balenciaga, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, Loewe, Dior, John Galliano, MiuMiu, Sonia Rykiel, Vionet und Michael Kors. Sie zierte bisher die Cover und Editorials von Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, GQ, i-D Magazine, Numéro, V Magazine, W Magazine, Love Magazine, Allure. GHD, The Edit, Rolling Stone, Esquire, Purple Fashion Magazine, Madison Magazine, Jalouse Magazine, Russh Magazine, Lucky Magazine und Glamour. Kerr schoss Kampagnen für Clinique, XOXO, Prada, Jil Sander, Rag & Bone, Bally, Mango, und Orchily. Sie ist Markenbotschafterin des Duftes Joyful von Escada.
Im Juni 2009 posierte sie nackt an einen Baum gefesselt für die australische Ausgabe des Magazins Rolling Stone, um auf das drohende Aussterben der Koalas aufmerksam zu machen.[1] Noch im gleichen Jahr startete sie ihre eigene Marke KORA Organics.[2]
Der Fotograf Terry Richardson lichtete Kerr für den Pirelli-Kalender 2010 ab. Im September veröffentlichte sie ihr Selbsthilfebuch Treasure Yourself, mit dem Ziel, jungen Menschen Selbstvertrauen zu geben. Das Buch wurde später noch in neun weitere Sprachen übersetzt.[2]

Im Frühjahr 2013 wurden ihre Verträge bei David Jones und Victoria’s Secret nicht verlängert, da Kerr sich wegen ihres Privatlebens nicht mehr an einen Vollzeit-Vertrag binden wollte. Seit Oktober 2013 ist sie das neue Gesicht von Swarovski.[3]
Im Februar 2014 wurde sie zum Gesicht von H&M und ersetzte damit Gisele Bündchen.[4] Außerdem warb sie im gleichen Jahr für Reebok und Escada Joyful.[5] Sie veröffentlichte mit Bobby Fox ihre erste Single in Form eines Covers von Elvis Presleys You're The Boss.[6] Später arbeitete sie mit der Firma Royal Albert zusammen und kreierte ihre eigene Teetassen-Kollektion.[7] Sie spielte 2007 für 4 Sekunden in einer Folge von How I Met Your Mother mit (S3E10).
Privatleben
Kerr praktiziert Yoga und Meditation, außerdem liest sie spirituelle Lektüre.
Ab 2007 war Miranda Kerr mit dem englischen Schauspieler Orlando Bloom liiert und seit dem 22. Juli 2010 mit ihm verheiratet. Im Januar 2011 wurde Kerrs und Blooms gemeinsamer Sohn Flynn Christopher Bloom geboren.[8] 2013 trennte sich das Ehepaar.[9]
Im Juli 2016 gab Kerr ihre Verlobung mit Evan Spiegel bekannt. Die Hochzeit fand am 27. Mai 2017 statt.[10] Sie haben zwei 2018 und 2019 geborene Söhne.

David Jones Autumn Winter Launch With Miranda Kerr At David Jones Sydney
Miranda Kerr was back to promoting fashion again today, returning to David Jones, Sydney, as part of the latest David Jones Autumn Winter launch - promo.
The fashion celebs were in full force as Kerr was joined by dozens of Australian fashion elite, many international icons.
In front of a crowd of hundreds, fashion and entertainment industry elite including Dannii Minogue, Delta Goodrem, Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Megan Gale, Alex Dimitriades and Miranda Kerr did the red (actually black) carpet and mingled with press.
Miranda wrapt up the marvellous show in a fashion forward black embellished Collette Dinnigan mini dress.
Lots of brands were promoted including Josh Goot suits, Bassike, Lisa Ho, along with Little Joe and Camilla and Marc.
The 1970s look to have made a bit of a comeback again with designs from Romance was Born, Zimmermann, Bianca Spender, and Thurley and Minogue’s Project D line which had a strong disco-esque edge as did Scanlan & Theodore.
Camilla showed off her 70s collection - Moroccan-inspired kaftans and metallic headwear.
Napoleon Perdis was onto the 70's also. One look was inspired from the 70s cult film The Eyes of Laura Mars, and an insider whispered that was in fact where it was born.
George Gross and Harry Who showed off refined feminine clothing modelled on the 1950s.
Dinnigan and Alex Perry went for modern black themes.
Jack London went with coloured tailored suits.
Calibre and Brent Wilson The Basics ran with something a dash more conservative.
Kerr was only one of the top models present. Samantha Harris, Alexandra Agoston, Louise Van Der Vorst and Australia’s Next Top Model champs Alice Burdeau and Montana Cox were also there, ensuring the event was media darling fodder.
Perth was represented by models, Tiah Eckhardt-Delaney and Sarah Pauley, who also snatched strong media coverage.
You should have seen the fab and refurbished ‘On Seven at David Jones' area.
The launch we were told was a "Salon style" super show with New York supper club themes. Lucky guests were seated at modest sized tables while the models strutted their stuff, darting and weaving through the guest area.
Retail giant David Jones streamed the event live over the internet for its virgin time via its official Facebook page.
Well done to DJ's, models and everyone involved in the fab event. We look forward to seeing you at the next as Australia's fashion wars continue to heat up.

David Jones AW13 Fashion Launch: Sydney, Australia - 6th February 2013...
A good dose of Australia's social set gathered to watch top line models including Miranda Kerr and Megan Gale strut at David Jones' Elizabeth Street store from around 7pm this evening.
Thirty-seven designers including Alex Perry, Collette Dinnigan and Zimmerman showcased over 230 looks alongside DJs runway debutants, Ellery, Rachel Gilbert and Banjo and Matilda.
Dual tone colours and prints featured heavily throughout the evening while lace and leather made a big comeback.
The 175-year-old retailer has reluctantly embraced new technologies to lift struggling sales and this year's event was livestreamed (via the internet) for the benefit of those who missed out on one of the show's exclusive tickets.
David Jones' group executive of merchandise Donna Player said those who couldn't attend could keep track of what was happening on social media.
"Customer viewing parties are a first and there will be stylists there as well. They can watch the livestream from Sydney, drink champagne and participate in the whole event even though they aren't physically here," she told Murdoch owned The Telegraph.
"It's bringing social media back to that whole tactile experience because they are able to buy the clothes straight away, the majority of those looks are in store immediately."
Well done to everyone involved in the success of the event. Now to wait and see if it makes a difference to the bottom line of the high end retailer.
