Die Bezirksliga Frankfurt/Oder 1952/53 war die erste Austragung der vom Bezirksfachausschuss (BFA) Fußball Frankfurt/Oder durchgeführten Bezirksliga Frankfurt/Oder. Sie war die höchste Spielklasse im Bezirk Frankfurt/Oder und die dritthöchste im Ligasystem auf dem Gebiet des DS. Durch die Verwaltungsreform im Juli 1952 in der DDR wurden 15 Bezirke (inklusive Ost-Berlin) anstelle der Länder gegründet. Daraufhin gab es auch im Fußball Änderungen im Ligasystem, so dass die Bezirksligen die ehemaligen Landesklassen ersetzten.
Die BSG Einheit Seelow wurde mit fünf Punkten Vorsprung auf die BSG Motor Eberswalde erster Bezirksmeister und nahm an der Aufstiegsrunde zur DDR-Liga teil. Dort belegte Seelow in der Staffel 2 den dritten Rang und verblieb in der Bezirksliga.
In eine der untergeordneten Bezirksklassestaffeln stiegen nach dem 22. Spieltag die Betriebssportgemeinschaften (BSG) Aufbau Finowfurt und Motor Finow ab. Im Gegenzug stiegen zur Folgesaison die beiden Bezirksklassensieger BSG Einheit Frankfurt/Oder (Staffel 1) und BSG Aufbau Klosterfelde (Staffel 2) auf. Dazu kam noch die BSG Chemie Fürstenwalde.
