Historische Schiffe

Die historische Schiffssammlung des San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park liegt überwiegend am Hyde Street Pier. Sie besteht aus den folgenden großen Schiffen:

  • Balclutha, ein 1886 gebautes Vollschiff.
  • Eureka, ein 1890 gebautes Fährschiff mit seitlichem Schaufelrad.
  • Alma, ein 1891 gebauter Leichter.

San Francisco Maritime Museum of the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park in Aquatic Park. The buildings in the background are pejoratively known as San Francisco's Buck Teeth, and their building (which cut off many maritime views) led to San Francisco's passage of building height limits, in the interest of view preservation.
