Kanada nahm an den Olympischen Sommerspielen 1936 in Berlin mit einer Delegation von 95 Athleten teil. Insgesamt konnte Kanada während seiner neunten Teilnahme an Olympischen Sommerspielen neun Medaillen erringen, es liegt damit auf Platz 17 des Medaillenspiegels. Das Ergebnis war damals das bisher drittbeste Abschneiden der kanadischen Equipe, gleichzeitig mit Antwerpen (1920) und nach London (16 ×) sowie Amsterdam und Los Angeles (je 15 ×).
